Playtex Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes

Wet Ones Wipes. No more icky and sticky, before or after using a wet wipe.

It's as simple as that. Comparing these to other brands, these do not leave my hands feeling icky and stick, or as if there is an invisible goo about to drip off my finger tips.

I take care of my elderly Mother, and as with age, and many medications her skin has begun to thin. These wipes are plenty soft, hopyallergenic, and enriched with skin conditioning aloe. And work very well on my darling 3 year old nephew, and on my Mother's hands, and face. Versatile age differences if I do say so myself.

Often times after using an antibacterial wipe, I'm left feeling ... gross. As though my hands are now dirt magnets. Ew. Ew. Ew. Again, I have not felt like this after using the Wet Ones Antibacterial Hands & Face Wipes.

Since many kids at school have been sick, I'm sending extra packets of Wet Ones to school with my daughter to share with classmates.

In the warmer spring/summer months, I'll be packing these in our tackle boxes for fishing. :)

When I received my Joshua Bell cd, At Home With Friends, I was in a frantic and panic mood. The kids had come home from school. Thrown their book bags on the floor and made a straight line to the kitchen all the time I’m trying to get information out of them and figure out how in the world we were going to get dinner and to all of our destinations. As I write this I can feel my heart rate increasing thinking back to that day. My daughter 16, kept bugging me “can I put the cd in mom huh huh can I please?????” Yes, I yelled and went back to the thoughts swimming in my head.

Almost immediately the mood in the house changed. The beautiful music had a calming effect on us all. We all lowered our voices, spoke a little less, and not only enjoyed the music but one another.

Grammy Winning, Joshua Bell’s CD At Home With Friends was released today. This is a greatly composed cd with friends like Regina Spektor, Josh Groban, Sting, Kristin Chenoweth, Chris Botti, and more.

At Home With Friends wasn’t just well thought of with the “friends” that joined Joshua Bell, the array of music makes it fun to listen to from Broadway, to jazz, classical and more. The violin seems to speak as it’s played and draws you into the music.

Funny, I thought that blogging was supposed to be fun. To reach out to others, and help one another move members around to other blogs, reading, and writing reviews, and so on. Right?
Well there is at least one blogger in particular, I'm being lady like and won't mention any names. That does not like for her "reviews" to be copy and pasted. That apparently she considers it plagiarism.

Now if I'm over stepping my bounds on somethings, PLEASE do let me know. I enter, and I do majority of the ways to enter. And I do it for more than one reason. I do it of course for the extra entries. I ALSO add MANY copy/pasted info from giveaways for quick entry AND to help push others to those sites. In no way, shape or form does it mean that I am attempting to take credit for said copy/pasted entries. They are always linked back to the ORIGINAL AUTHOR! Unless I made a typo or an error of some kind.

Now I really do consider myself an open minded person. I really do accept constructive criticism, and rather openly.
Is it fair or a sort of blogging discrimination to eliminate/exclude entries to those of us that do a quick copy and paste?

Is this an unspoken rule of blogging and entering blog giveaways?

In my very frank opinion (I give my opinion much too often sometimes.) this is the VERY reason that blog sweeps and giveaways are looked down upon from the sweeping community.

So, please, do comment. I really want to know, is this a "nono" for entering other peoples giveaways?

I have never really had much interest in “online conventions” and such, the gatherings and so forth. But I have to admit that when I read about BlogHer09 , I shivered. I want for Winter and I to go SOOOO BAD!

I think it’s been a while that I have wanted something so much. Now keep in mind here that I do NOT like change. It just doesn’t settle well with me. It takes a while.
For instance, I finally got a new (to me) washer, now I’m thankful, VERY thankful, don’t misunderstand. But it’s ……. *gasp* …….. different!

Hubby and nephew took an hour drive one way last night to go get it, and back to hook it up. We were down to ONE clean towel. And ya’ know, the last towel on the shelf is always there for a reason. lol A hole, maybe it’s thin ….. but it’s always last for a reason.
So they bring it back, and we were fortunate enough to get this used washer, and the plastic wrapping was still on the cord! To me, that says it hasn’t been used much. Which is what we were told. We are also familiar with the guy that was selling it, we didn’t realize this when we called from the paper.

I immediately started a load of towels. All the while picking apart the new washer. “The tub is smaller, it’s smaller, blah, blah, blah“. I’m sure it makes me sound unappreciative, but really I do appreciate things. Am VERY thankful! Now I don’t do this with gifts, but with other changes. Which that probably doesn’t make a lick of sense. And if my Dr. changes, or gives me different medications, whoa look out!

I’m feeling a little more at ease, considering we went through THREE appliances in a week. Even the fact that we’re broke, I’m a little more at ease. Amazing that as frugal as I am, having shelled out $125 for a washing machine, -vs- no clean towels, I’m more at ease having spent the money. Whatta’ nut eh’.

Oh I wanted to share this with you all, I’m pretty proud. I found out I won a VERY nice gift from Mindy, visit her blog Mommies With Cents, I won her Shred Sled giveaway! Shhhh don’t tell my son. I’m going to put it away for Christmas for him.

I sit here, craving chocolate covered coffee beans. I'm a redneck. I'm simple. I had NEVER heard of these things before. But that other witch, WinterWitch, as she so fondly calls herself. Sent me a nice bag of these. Oh I devoured them! And later, with a twitch told my husband I could seriously get used to those.

Now, here I sit, wanting some more. And there is no where to find them here! What shall I do? Since hubby hung up on me the other day while I was on my way to Lowe's, I bought a new stove. So, umm yah, using the card to buy online right now would not be a good idea. Heh'!

Why can't I find these things local? I wonder if I could make these ... hmmm, I feel a google search coming on. Wouldn't it be great to have a reason for my common insomnia?

Ok, so time to jump subjects, and onto the important part of my post tonight.

I'm looking for a little advice here. One of the soon to be new Mommies wants to breast feed, however she's taking some slack from others for this. Now, with my daughter I did both, breast, and bottle. However, I was embarrassed to nurse in public or around ANYONE for that matter. Why? I have no idea. I was totally comfortable with the idea of it. Well, she's having the very same issue. I want to help her ease her mind with her decision, and become comfortable with nursing. Since I wasn't able to beat my own insecurities, I really want to help her overcome her own.

She seems to know quite a bit of the common pro's to nursing, but I'd like to have something tried and true to offer her ya' know. This is where you all come in, PLEASE give me something to hand her, to help her become more secure with her choice.

Kindergarten – 2^nd Grade

Create a binder to house the best of your child’s school work as they go through the school year. Use a template to create the front cover and spine of the binder with your child’s name, school, year, etc. Use dividers to make sections for homework, artwork, certificates of recognition, awards, projects, etc. Keep papers inside sheet protectors so the work will stay in good condition. Take pictures of any larger artwork or projects they make and place the photo in the binder. Photos can be printed as large as 10’x8” for best viewing. At the end of the school year, you will have a completed binder with all their best work.

Use permanent markers to write your child’s name and a contact number on their backpack & lunchbox in case they get lost or left at school

3^rd – 5^th Grade

Place a dry erase calendar where you and your child can see and reach it. With a marker write down all the upcoming school dates for the year – school breaks, events, field trips. As you go through the year, use the calendar to track project due dates and help your child to schedule in the days they will be working on long term homework assignments in order to complete them on time. Calendar can also include play-dates, parties, doctor’s appointments, and sports or dance lessons. This is a great way to introduce your child to project management at an easy to understand level. If you have more than one child, use a different color marker for each one to easily differentiate between their schedules.

6^th – 8^th Grade

Help your child create a fully personalized, unique binder with Avery Signature Binders to organize their work for the upcoming school year. They could use one binder to hold all of their class work or individual binders for each class they will be taking. Use dividers to create separate sections for each course or class, such as: history, math, science, and/or create separate sections within each class, such as: notes, assignments, handouts, etc. Label each divider with a permanent marker or print labels on your computer so you can clearly see which section is which. Insert a copy of your child’s class schedule into a sheet protector and place at the front of the binder. For each class make a cover sheet with the class name, teacher, room number, location, days/times of classes. Place the class info cover sheets into sheet protectors and insert into the binder at the front of the section for that particular class.

Encourage your child to use a highlighter to empathize important content while taking class notes or on handouts. This will help them to find relevant content later on when they are studying.

Last night we had a prank phone call, they insisted we return the newspapers they say we had been stealing. I told them to come and get the papers, and they could have them back, folded all nice and neat.

Then they said they wanted ALL the papers back. The puppy crapped on a few of those, I think it would pretty rude to give those back don’t you?

I think they should work on their prank calls.

I mean, there wasn’t even any heavy breathing,or panting … at all! I was terribly disappointed. I even asked them if their refrigerator was running, or if they had Prince Albert in a can. I don’t think they knew what I was talking about.

Perhaps I should have instructed them on how to talk dirty on prank calls after dark?

Hey! Don’t think so badly! Here’s a dirty joke.

Q:What happened to the little boy who went out to play?

Not even a gasp while crying for their news papers. So sad.

Yet, so disappointing. What has happened to our good old fashioned prank callers? Have they gone to the ^&%$ pot?

Sadly enough, I ended the call telling them that they REALLY had to do better on their pranking skills. Don’t tell my kids but I had THAT beat around age 11, with the phone crew for infomercials.

On a serious note, we really did have a wannabe prank caller, and this is really how said situation went. I truly think I was entirely too bored when the phone rang.

I kind of thought I was lining myself up for a long night of prank calls, interestingly enough … they have not called back.

A: He fell in a mud puddle!

Well thanks to PUR they have released the PUR Flavor Options Pitcher! It is a filtered pitcher that you add flavoring to and then whenever you pour your water you push a button on the pitcher to add flavor! What’s nice is that even if there is someone in your house that doesn’t like flavored water, as long as you don’t push the flavor button then your water will be regular old filtered water. It is that easy!

Another Great DVD From Nickelodeon! Backyardigans Singing Sensation DVD Review & Giveaway!

We received the Backyardigans Singing Sensation DVD to review and as soon as we started watching it we loved it. Danika was dancing and "singing" along with the fun characters on the screen. I love that at least if she is watching something on TV she is dancing and interacting with the characters. I also loved that it gives you the words on the screen so that I could sing along and interact with her and the songs. And yes I did sing along :)

The stitching is perfect and the nickel zipper is sturdy. The exterior of the bag is pebble grain leather with contrasting white stitching. This makes it look very elegant. For the monogram area, you can have your initials (which I did) or your company initials. Inside is a removable padded nylon bag that safely fits a laptop. And, when my laptop is inside, I like the extra precaution of the attachment strap to secure it in place. It doesn’t matter what age you are, I can almost bet that there are Hannah Montana fans out there in any race, age, shape and form. Am I right? When I first heard of Hannah Montana, I thought “Great – another ‘kid’ show’” I have listened to Miley Cyrus and have actually grown to love her music, her overall tone of how she speaks in her lyrics. I have been looking forward to the release of “Hanna Montana: The Movie” ever since I saw it advertise on television. When a copy arrived to me, I was thrilled and that excitement definitely paid off. I have to say that there is nothing about this movie that I didn’t fall in love with. The storyline was amazing, the cast was perfect and yes – this is a movie for everyone in the family!
